MCHS Peace & Conflict Studies Period 1 uses this blog as a means of discussing the evolution of our understanding of peace: personal, interpersonal, and global. We explore the challenges & benefits of developing a personal peace practice, using nonviolent communication in interpersonal conflict dynamics, and understanding issues of global peace and conflict. Let the blog begin! My desire is for this to serve as a safe, open, authentic space to share our insights and experiences as we begin to integrate peace-promoting practices. I hope that this exchange further empowers us to enact real changes and to improve the quality of our lives and the lives of others. OK, some nitty gritty ... 1) self-assessment in each of the 5 major areas 2) Goals for each area a. long-term b. subdivide long-term goals into short-term ones
